Made of aluminum louvers and glass, and set on a limestone-like base, the stadium's faÇade is at once modern and traditional. It serves as a neutral canvas that adapts dynamically for each team and each event at the stadium. The neutral exterior also enhances the impact of the stadium's cornerstone sponsors, allowing them to stand out.

The stadium is a shared success with design partners Bruce Mau Design and Rockwell Group, and Architect of Record EwingCole. It provides an innovative and immersive experience that’s great for fans, sponsors and the teams.

The seating bowl and sightlines were developed based on careful study of sections from other NFL stadiums. The result is a stadium with 82,500 seats surrounding the field entirely, creating intensity and providing excellent views even from the farthest seat.

The idea for the cornerstone sponsors originated from the four large scoreboards in each corner of the stadium. Based on the idea that less advertising can be more impactful, sponsors were allowed to own the real estate and fan experience from the top to the bottom of the stadium, in each corner.

The dynamic experience is enhanced by state-of-the-art technology. A massive Trivision panel inset at the entrance displays the teams and events. Inside, four high-definition, 128-ft. by 30-ft. scoreboards, one in each corner, provide crystal-clear images at mid-stadium level, making it easy to enjoy the action on the field and the video display at the same time

The design captured “found” space, such as the stadium’s plaza and rail station areas, allowing for new tailgating and other game- and event-day concepts.

The New Meadowlands Stadium is one of the greenest venues in sports. The stadium’s owner and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) partnered on the implementation of environmentally friendly materials and practices for the stadium's construction and operation.  An example: While it’s more than twice as large as the stadium it replaced, it will use approximately 30 percent less energy.
