Stockton Arena
A 235,000-s.f. multipurpose entertainment venue, the arena uses unconventional materiality and an innovative seating bowl to create strong connections among the community, fans and the action on the arena floor.

With its distinctive glass-and-wood faÇade, the building anchors the 24-acre, mixed-use Waterfront Redevelopment near downtown Stockton, California.

Fabric that cants over the concourse is used to project light and images through the glass curtain wall.

Wood veneer is used for the exterior cladding to provide extraordinary durability.

Together the fabric resembles sails and the wood the hull of a ship, harkening to Stockton’s nautical history.

Innovations in the seating area strengthen the venue’s interactivity, including the “Gondola suites,” which hang over the lower seating bowl, plus a fan deck that provides standing-room space close to the arena floor.
